I would argue some of the damage he's allowed is luck.

So you're betting on the fact that he's just going to revert and he's going to look as good as he was earlier this season, which was incredibly strong.
And then again, walk rate is the angle here.

Like, I'm excited to do this and that with the guy.
And I don't think they make transactions with the idea of, like, we hope this guy figures it out.
Like, they make, especially the Zephyr John move, is one where they make the transaction and go, yeah, we're confident this dude can be projections because of X, Y, Z. And they're deferring to the pitching department in that respect, which, you know, despite the injuries they run into, is still one of the strongest in baseball.
