That's a one week decision at the end of a search.
You know, and like a search that didn't include the guys like Brendan Shanahan, who would be more expensive.
And then they did fire foot quickly, which was a good data point that maybe money won't be the determinative factor in everything.
But it took them a long time to hire Malhotra.
And I certainly heard that they were driving a hard bargain.
And they ended up going with relatively restrained term for both Ryan Johnson and Malhotra.
Johnson also a very difficult negotiation.
You know, a hard line drawn in the sand by the club.
And so, you know, now we're a month in and we've got one front office hire.
And, you know, the organization when asked, like, do you really want an experienced head coach or assistant coach is like, well, you know, we want good people.
I just want to see this organization actually making the investment.
