Young people are still facing rent rises while they're trying to save for a house.
And they're just not keeping up because the house price keeps increasing.
Wages are basically flat.
They've grown a little bit, but they're essentially flat in comparison.
And they just can't save enough to have a deposit to get into a house because everything just keeps on getting more and more expensive.
This budget doesn't fix that.
This budget should have fixed that.
A Greens budget would fix that, but the government doesn't want to annoy the forces of capital and the very rich people who make donations to them.
And so they're trying to pretend they've done more than they actually have.
And, I mean, find me a young person that owns three to 50 properties.
You know, who is this mythical creature and what's their secret?
Again, I have a literal degree and I go, do I not know what these things mean?
No, they are deliberately confusing and the scare campaigns are blinding everyone to the reality that not much has changed in this budget.
See, budget, what did you call it?
Nothing burger.
Nothing burger, love that.
Yep.
And what we're seeing is the rate rises have essentially stopped those property barons buying so many properties.
Now that's a good thing because we want people who don't have a home to be able to buy a home.
Like it's meant to be the Australian dream.
