We might not be the right sector.

Maybe we don't have enough proof points.

Let me tell you all the reasons you can turn me down and turn this company down.

And I will not take it personally if you do.

And maybe we'll talk to you in the next round and try and encourage the no.

And that will save you time because I'm going to guess that 99% of the time, if you encourage the no and you get the no, that wouldn't have been there anyways, had you tried to cultivate it.

And so that's where I save time.

The right investor will say, wait, wait, time out.

No, we love what you're up to.

This is a perfect fit.

And hopefully that clarifies everything for you.

Yeah, I believe in the financial sense that capital finds good opportunities.

I believe in the market.

And so if you are a good investment opportunity and the market is efficient, it should find you.

And now you need to go out, you need to do your work to go tell the story and meet folks.

But it's not a question of whether there's a match out there.

You just got to go get it.

And so the more efficiently you can do that, the better.

So you kind of have to... I actually believe in the efficiency of markets.
