We don't get paid for it.
It's a hobby.
But it's great to be able to do it.
And just go and enjoy it.
And I always tell that to kids and whatever the whole lot.
But you're right.
I'd say the last week beforehand...
When the media start coming in and focusing in on us, you know, naturally you have to face the media.
And Limerick, you know, had lost in 94 as well.
So they were quite hurt from what happened to them against Offaly, naturally.
And there were favourites coming into it as well.
You know, Wexford journey was sweet up to the All-Ireland final.
But some people outside of Wexford didn't really give us much of a chance.
But inside...
from the people, the supporters, and from within the camp, we were very confident of what we could achieve.
But you have to prove it on the day.
I was down actually in the handball alley for about an hour and a half.
just hurling away and there was a lovely old man there, Darren Sands' father, Sean, I think his name was, and he used to sit in the little doorway of the old outdoor handball alley and he said, well, Larry, what do you think?
I said, I think we're going to have to win it, Sean, you know, looking forward to it and just hurling the ball, being casual about it and, you know, you're distracted, you're away from everything.
