I can't stand that series of compilations.
I'm talking about like when the Raincoats did Lola by the Kinks, or when The Slits did I Heard It Through the Grapevine originally by Gladys Knight and the Pips.
They strip everything down.
They take, like especially Shonen and I.
If they take a little curly cue of a melody and they make it a repeating figure throughout the song that you can kind of come back to in a way that doesn't necessarily make it cutesy, it just it's a completely different arrangement of a song you've heard probably a billion times uh over your lifetime and then suddenly have this version.
