So Michael Carey comes in, tightens them up at the back, makes them a little bit more direct in counter-attacking than they were under Marim, where they were just passing the ball sideways endlessly.
But the big question is, can he turn them into a team that can have their own uh passing game, that can unlock uh tight defenses?

Uh and we have this supporter mentality of
Like spend lots of money equals good, not spend lots of money equals bad.
Now that doesn't that rarely is how it works out.
It's a complete sidetrack.
Spurs were very bad in this game.
And I think uh Deserbi was hinting afterwards that of course they've not had the preseason they would have wanted in terms of preparation, people joining the squad late because of the World Cup, they've traveled all around the world, which is of course very much their own fault.
