I mean, England scored then immediately.
Mexico gave them another goal with a penalty, some terrible defending from a goal kick.
Suddenly England, Anthony Gordon ran on goal, penalty, and it goes to 3-1 immediately after the red card, just when you thought, well, here's a big advantage from Mexico.
They've got half an hour against 10 men to claw back one goal.
Now they're clawing back two.
They get the penalty again to make it 3-2.
But after that point, they've got 20 minutes plus injury time, which turned out to be 11 minutes, half an hour to go.
I can't remember them really having a serious chance.
The closest they came to scoring was John Stones in the 100th minute.
Yeah, but that was the closest that Mexico came, and I was puzzled by their tactics of aerial bombardment against, you know, Dan Byrne, who'd come on for England, and they were firing in the world's worst crosses.
You know, the Mexican left back himself had, I'd say, five of the worst crosses played anywhere in the world this year in this game.

yeah like an english country graveyard yeah you would have thought you would have thought uh a little bit of craftiness uh you know might have might have been the uh might have been the order of the day there but but i mean i was watching on the bbc feed the bbc commentary was very funny as they became more and more uh uh outraged by the mexicans appealing for penalties you know the mexicans
oh, they're appealing for another one here.
You know, Alan Shearer absolutely refused to accept that Harry Kane had legitimately conceded a penalty.
It's obviously a penalty.
You know what I mean?
It's kind of an annoying one to give away because we see them all the time, though.
