So they're up

by around 3.6% as a group.

Pretty modest moves everywhere else in terms of those sectors that are lifting, but financials are quite a weight, down by 0.7%.

We are seeing all of the major banks easing and healthcare is down by roughly 1%, which certainly isn't helpful.

Now, we did mention the tech sector is doing exceptionally well today, lifting by well over 3%.

And one stock within the sector has been receiving quite a bit of attention, and that's data centre company NextDC.

It's actually the top performer today, lifting by around 8%.

And this is after investors welcomed news that the company has secured another round of major customer contracts, reinforcing the huge demand for AI data centres.

Now,

This just adds to its pipeline of new customers.

And because these are long-term contracts with large cloud and AI customers, they do give investors greater confidence of NextDC's investment in new data centers and that it will be backed by long-term customer demand.

So NextDC, currently the top performer.

Digital property settlement firm Pexa Group was the worst performer yesterday and today it's down slightly once again.

And this is seemingly after a proposed major regulatory change in New South Wales.

Now, this company actually makes money by charging fees every time a property settles electronically.

But a draft review by the New South Wales regulator has proposed cutting those fees by around 20%, which could significantly reduce PEXA's revenue if that does go ahead.

So today, PEXA came out with a statement essentially saying that a change like this would create an unsustainable financial profile for the company in the future.

In other words, it could drive them out of business.

So it is urging regulators to take a more cautious approach, but we are seeing a

Texas shares down around 6% in the past couple of days on the back of this.
