Now, I did mention the materials sector has been outperforming today.
It's up by 1.7% and within that, BHP has been one of the standouts.
In fact, it's contributing to a significant portion of today's gains.
If it wasn't for BHP, the broader market would actually be slightly lower as we speak.
Now, having a look at what's happened, this is, of course, ahead of its quarterly results, which are set to be released tomorrow.

And it does also follow strong results from Rio Tinto today.
And we've also seen copper futures hit a three-week high overnight, which certainly helped BHP considering they now make most of their money from copper.
So higher prices are certainly beneficial.
Looking to tonight, US futures are pointing to a positive start.
We'll wait and see where that ends up.
But we do have US earnings season continuing with many more of the major banks set to hand down results, including BlackRock and Morgan Stanley.
We also have Johnson & Johnson.
I mentioned earlier, US producer prices or business inflation will also be out tonight, as well as an update on manufacturing.
