And oil prices have rallied on the latest developments in the US-Iran conflict. matched

Well, it looks like we're on track to record a second straight day of losses. matched

That being said, remember on Friday we were only down very slightly by a little over a tenth of one percent. matched

And today the uh declines have actually been fairly capped. matched

They're we're down currently by 0.4% heading into the close. matched

So I think it certainly could have been worse today. matched

Yeah, so I think the uh key detail is that the that they couldn't reach an agreement and after you know that happened we heard Trump say that the US Navy will blockade the Strait of Hormuz after those failed talks. matched

Um the latest news is that US forces will begin implementing a blockade of all maritime traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports at midnight tonight, our time, as announced by the US. matched

Central command following up on Trump's announcement. matched

So I think all eyes are really gonna be on that tonight and in the coming day. matched

And I think the key thing out of that inflation data, yes, we're really waiting for this because this is the first insight into how the conflict has impacted inflation. matched

So head that headline number, as you mentioned, came in stronger than expected. matched

In fact, uh on a month to month basis it tripled. matched

Uh so it was up zero point nine percent in March, up from zero point three percent the prior month. matched

But if we take out the impact of higher oil prices, that core number. matched
