Yes, exactly, in California, because that's where she filed all of her accusations against him.
Which, again, a law that makes so much sense, because you could have someone in like a small person and say like a law firm, just as an example, who filed against like a boss or something, and then they could be decimated with legal fees trying to defend themselves.
So this protects them.
Obviously, in this case, people are sort of reading into it.
One, they're saying the kind of headlines around Blake Lively today because there's this whole thing about the judge being tired or angry, which again is not in the legal papers, is that she's trying to kind of suck more money out of Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, which is the allegation that she can't let this go.
Even this idea that people think that she kind of rushed the settlement and had that put out into the world so she could attend the Met Gala.
and now is kind of circling back trying to get these extra fees.
Yeah, it's not a new plot twist in the case or anything like that.
Yeah, exactly.
And that's something that happens a lot in these kind of big cases where sexual harassment or anything like that is part of the complaint is that
It's such a hard thing to prove.
It's such a hard thing to even get to that stage where it's in a courtroom in front of a jury.
And we've seen that in so many high profile cases over the years, like going back as far as back as Woody Allen to like Sean Combs in recent years, where like a lot of those allegations, people were like, well, he was found not guilty.
And it's like, no, no, no.
If you read the court document, he wasn't found not guilty.
There just wasn't enough evidence for this particular claim to go to court.
Yeah.
Or it wasn't far, like some evidence wasn't filed in the correct way or someone messed up a timeline.
Like it's so hard.
I'm not saying those people are guilty, although you can go and read all the evidence yourself, but it just means that it wasn't able to go through the legal system.
