And that's why when anything does go to court, it's such a big deal that they were able to get that far.
Yeah.
It's interesting in the Blake Lively case because now people are looking at this new kind of information that's come out saying that she wants these damages that protects people who sue around sexual assault.
And the kind of thing I'm seeing now is like very different from the hatred that we've seen for Blake Lively or people saying she's a mean girl or she's a diva is that a lot of people now are saying that they feel very betrayed by Blake Lively.
And they're saying that because a lot of people kind of stood by her claims when she came forward because she
there was this idea that she was championing women in the workplace or women that have been the victim of sexual assault or sexual misconduct in the workplace or by people they know, and that she was going to take the stand and she was going to go the distance.
And so there were all these, there's kind of like huge groundswell of support for her.
And now people, whether this is the incorrect information or not, now people have this idea that she settled and she let them down and she wasn't kind of willing to put herself on the line anymore.
for victims the way that people had thought she would.
And the way that I guess, I mean, it's so hard to bring other people's names into it.
People being like, you know, like Cassie in the Sean Combs case, people were like, look what she did.
She put herself on the line and she did that for other women.
Even people saying like Taylor Swift taking the stand and suing that DJ for-
Yeah, inappropriately touching her and, like, it wasn't about the money.
It was for a dollar they settled for that she won from him.
But it was about taking the stand and putting your voice out there.
And so people feel betrayed by Blake Lively now for not doing that, which doesn't really sit well with me, I've got to say.
I mean, the thing is, there's two sides to it, because in some of the statements from her legal team, they did frame it.
There is language in there that could be framed that way of, you know, women shouldn't be treated like this in a workplace or women shouldn't do this or like believe women, which again, all fair statements.
But there was a little bit of framing in the public statements from her team around the fact that she was trying to make this a bigger action than just herself.
