So you don't figure out on what to, when they say buying my ex out, it doesn't mean you're buying the exact dollar amount that the house is worth because we're looking at superannuation and all the other assets.
So it may not be the full amount or it may be more depending on what your property situation is.
So
You need to have that property pool spreadsheet sat down and figured out what percentage you're getting and negotiated that and then figuring out if you're keeping the house and it's on your side of the ledger, how much over that percentage have you gone and how much money do you need to give them back or how much super?
How do they find out if they can afford it?
So that is a bit scary.
So it's probably a good idea then before you negotiate who keeps the house to go and figure out and see a broker of whether or not you can afford to keep the house before you look at that.
Because if you've gone to mediation and you've agreed to do that, is there a backup?
