you looked at the numbers, actually looked at what percentages we were negotiating in dollar terms, and then put that into my feelings uh matrix of decision making.
And it could have made things easier or clearer or better.
So I think for anyone who's listening today who's not a numbers person,
This is your little ding ding reminder to go and sit down and go, okay, we're negotiating ten percent of our property pool.
What is that in a dollar amount?
And how much am I willing to sacrifice of the property pool to get that dollar amount?
So you're saying don't just look at the percentage that you're stuck on and the dollar value.
Also look at could you negotiate getting more of the cash instead of the super or vice versa to kind of move things along.
I think that's that's important to note because y I've heard of some people whose exes just wanna give them the super.
And they th and they're like, Well, I can't live on that.
I can't even touch it for another like thirty years.
That's important.
All right, let's get to the small pool because I know most people listening will be like, We need to hear the small pool, Laura.
Okay, sorry guys.
All right, so let's talk about this.
So Mum, in the small property pools
So you're saying that the future needs is looked at and the adjustment of the percentage is usually higher than a medium pool because they're worried about
what that person is going to look like in ten years, how they're living in ten years.
At those people m that have been stay at home parents, they haven't had a job for a long time, and they want to continue being a stay at home parents for the kids and they and their exes are just saying, Go get a job, or you can get a job does that does the court look at that what's been happening in the past and try and make it continue into the future?
Need to start doing your disclosure but have no idea where to start?
