I think he once drove through the living room wall of a person's home and by some miracle managed not to hurt anybody.

But yeah, he just lived an insane sort of life.

So I went to bed that night in Australia, kind of knowing that when I woke up, he would be gone.

In a way, like, it's a sort of... It was a piece of information I'd been expecting since I was 10 years old.

You know, the number of times kind of the guards knocked on the door or he was in hospital because something had happened when I was growing up.

Or the number of times I had to call the guards because he was trying to break down the door and I was on the other side of it as a kid.

And...

I had fully been expecting him to die, you know, since I was about 10.

So the fact that he lived this long always felt like a kind of bizarre, miraculous situation.

And I don't know if I had absorbed some kind of belief that maybe he would be the first immortal person, you know, I wouldn't put it past him.

He had that kind of willpower.

So it was a shocking and and the most obvious thing that ever could have happened and and sad and also kind of emotionally empty and just a bunch of dissonant things that all conflicted with each other, which is sort of fitting because that's that's always how it's been with him.
