Well, I guess a lot of women think that earning more protects them, but it doesn't.
No.
And in fact, you have a lot of women that say, I'm the earner.
He's going to deal with the money.
So then they find out that they've been working their asses off and somehow the investments haven't gone well, or they went somewhere else, or maybe they got spent on someone else.
That's very angry too.
So yeah, I think sometimes we think if we're like the badass and we're out there working that we're going to be protected, but
I mean, you can't take your eye off the ball, not because you don't trust your spouse, just because it's your responsibility to be a part of that too.
You called it financial health.
It kind of is.
It would be like if you just kind of stopped going to the gym and eating healthy and didn't pay any attention anymore to how you looked or how your heart was beating or how your blood was flowing.
You have to pay attention.
What does that look like?
A lot of it will have to do with the lawyers.
I will often say to somebody, well, who's on the other side?
Because remember, as divorce lawyers, we make money when you guys are arguing, okay?
So some would say that it's not in our best interest to have it go down really copacetically and smoothly because if we drag it out longer, it'll cost more money.
