I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and it was exactly this relationship between Adora and Viv that spoke to me the most.

So there were moments where I laughed out loud because their text message chats could be ours.
So those moments really spoke to me, and I think that's probably why I was so gutted and maybe even a little defensive in the scene in the Café de Flore in Paris where Viv finally lets...
all of those tense emotions out and says to her mother how wounded she is, that her mother is dismissive about her feelings and her experiences and her generation's challenges.
