We spoke to a teacher in Illinois who said she had almost missed the Illinois sales tax holiday on back-to-school items because she wasn't hearing it in the local news there.
So it's really important to consult your state's Department of Revenue and they should have the list of qualifying items.
And if you happen to go to a retailer and let's say they don't
remove the sales tax for the item, you're sure it qualifies.
You can also take that up with your state and you should be able to get a refund if it qualifies.
