And then after December, there's nothing.
There's
silence.
We give it a few months, but after a while, we basically ask our lawyer, hey, should we reach out to them?
This is weird.
We were the most important people on their radar for a little bit, it seemed, and now there's nothing.
So when we finally did reach back out to them, they confirmed that the case was closed.
They would give us our electronics back, wouldn't give us our bank accounts back, which is still something we're trying to fight for.
Wow, you still don't have your bank accounts back?
Oh, no.
No, we don't.
And it's actually frustrating because there was obviously a lot going on in September of 2024.
But when we kind of were informed that the investigation was closed and that we could get our electronics back, kind of at the forefront of our mind is like, okay, great.
Can we get our bank accounts back?
My lawyer did reach out to the SDNY, which is kind of the most infamous agency.
branch of the DOJ.
They're the ones who have handled the Epstein files.
They're also the ones that when Eric Adams had the charges against him, they were later dropped.
But when he had the charges against him, it was also the SDNY that was handling it.
My lawyer inquired and was told by the SDNY that basically those funds had been forfeited.
