the same old, you know, CNN or NBC News three minute TV hit is going to be as effective when it's just not anymore.
And I think what he said about it, too, is so interesting because obviously Democrats, as we know from this past election, have an elitist problem.
They're seen as the party of the overly educated, the party of the elite.
And in a way that kind of plays into it.
Right.
They're saying, oh, we're going to stick with, you know, the big, fancy, shiny TV studios.
That's where we think our time is is of most value.
When in reality, you know, millions of people are actually in in listening to these podcasts every week or whatever it is, you know, YouTube TV shows, podcasts.
And so some strategists that I talked to as well were kind of like, yeah, we're sending this signal and like reaffirming that spend going to these more elite, overly educated spaces are more important than going to these other spaces that have a general audience population.
Pritzker is interesting.
Pritzker is someone who I think is definitely kind of been like, yeah, we got to do some more.
And he's one of the few Democrats that I think are really trying to get out there on all different kinds of shows and all different kinds of podcasts.
not just the cable news circuit anymore.
on the show why don't you just come on for 20 minutes and we just hash this out uh and just and just talk you know what i'm saying yeah yeah and i think you see that the bulwark now yeah i mean it's very interesting because like they're so i'm not used to that like you said sitting down with you on the show for 20 minutes or an hour
having a cup of coffee, because, right, a lot of these podcasts are pretty long.
So that was something that strategists also brought up.
And it was a point that Charlie Kirk made to Gavin Newsom as well, that, you know, Democrats just...
have not been doing these really long form type interviews.
And it's an entirely different skill set.
And if you're so used to, and it's been so trained into your brain that you have your three talking points, you stick to them, you don't go off message, and that will get you through the three minute cable news TV hit.
