It's nice to put it fully on them and to be like, okay, they have this personality disorder and it's definitely not me.
But you don't need that.
This is what's happening now.
The person is looking for a reason.
The reason was never you in the first place.
No matter what we come up... If I had this man here now in the room, I'm presuming it's a man.
If I had this man here in the room and I was to dissect him and get an answer, it would never be you.
That's never going to be at the bottom of it.
So either...
There's a few different scenarios that might be happening.
Either the person does get a thrill out of the validation and having someone want them and seeing the control or, you know, like being able to shift the narrative really quickly and then disappear and be wanted.
Maybe that's the motive and someone actually intends to harm them.
Or like, you know, there are people who grow up and they see certain types of relationships and they learn from them and they model after them.
Maybe that's the kind of relationships they saw.
Maybe it's someone with like an anxious avoidant attachment style.
That's like, I need you, I need you, I need you.
Oh my God, this feels so real.
I have to go.
But regardless, like how awful is it and what a hit to your self-esteem when someone just disappears like that.
