So Dan was trying to seek help for at least like two years before he actually passed and he did.
He engaged with Pieda and he'd been to a psychiatrist, he'd been to his GP and it was really in the mix of all that that someone had plopped it down but never really gave him like a formal chat about what that meant.
Right.
And I had actually suggested it to him later on, kind of like a year and a half after he'd been to the psychiatrist.
And when he went to the GP desk, but as far as it was there, you know, I kind of like and I think his partner at the time did as well.
But it was something that had come up and I was like, look, what do you think of this?
He felt very validated by that.
And he said it to me and my mom, like, thank you for, you know, even looking into that for me because we continue to search.
I don't know why it never came up about the the rates of suicide.
And with BPD, I don't know why.
And because I did do like, you know, a bit of searching at the time around the diagnosis and I know it meant an awful lot to him.
And but yeah, so that was the gist of the conversation.
We're a very open family, really open about our emotions, really open about our feelings.
You know, it's not this idea that like if you talk, that saves everything.
It doesn't.
It was these bouts of loneliness that we'd know.
Yeah, it was the struggle in relationships.
It was just this question around, like, am I a good person?
Am I a bad person?
And like I said, Dan had a nest in my mum.
