And so this work is really looking at people who don't have that foundation yet and
And kind of the point that we're making is that sex is important in building that foundation.
So when you're starting a relationship at any age of your life, sex is important because it's one of the ways that we connect with each other.
It's one of the ways that we build intimacy, that we are vulnerable with each other.
And so after you build that foundation, maybe sex can decline or wane with time.
But if you're starting a relationship, again, at any age, a sexual component is really important there.
Yeah, both.
In some ways, it's similar.
In some ways, it's pretty different.
We still see things like gender roles where...
Women want to be asked out.
They want to be kind of pursued.
They don't really send the first message on online dating.
In other ways, we see big differences.
Women are very independent at older ages.
They feel like they have their own money.
They have come into their own after divorce or widowhood.
They want to pay for their own dates.
But we do see that older adults do have a harder time or a hard time finding partners.
Part of the issue is that there are a lot of single older adults these days, but in some ways not so many.
