She croaked the lyrics of this horrible little ditty half-heartedly over a backing track, which squelched along behind her like the opening credits from a kid's TV show.

Until at some point, she simply grew bored and gave up.

The crowd whooped and she shaded her eyes against the spotlight, singling Alex out and dragging him on stage with her for an awkward bout of air kissing and a brief burst of camera flashes.

The crowd cheered again and she asked them if anyone had poppers.

She took a hit and began jumping up and down on the stage, her big tits bouncing like pillows in a tumble dryer.

Alexander looked out at the audience like a man marooned.

He found me in the crowd with a look of despair.

His face was smeared in Cindy's lipstick.

He was flexing his fingers the way he always did when he was losing his equilibrium.

Cindy said, I have a very special guest here tonight, out England.

And then she introduced Alexander to the crowd by my name.

The audience, oblivious, hooted all the same.

And though Alexander's face fell to his feet, the first track had started to play and, well, there was nothing for it but to sing.
