I know that when I was... This is interesting enough that you asked this question.

It's very hard to talk to people about cardiac surgery.

And sometimes when you're trying to explain what you're about to do to a person, it's like, you know, deer in headlights look.

So...

I learned very early on and through a great surgeon, actually, who did a lot of analogies.

I don't necessarily use him.

I use some of his, but then I've developed my own because it just makes it more relatable and easier for people to understand.

And then it makes them more comfortable, I think, with the fact that I'm about to rip their chest open.
