I thought that when I was DJing on XRT.
I used to do Friday overnights on XRT for a while.
And one night at 3 a.m., I thought, you know what?
I'm going to exercise some freedom.
I'm not going to play Soak Up the Sun by Sheryl Crow.
I'm going to go deeper onto that record.
I'm going to play Ski-Lo.
I'm going to play Steve McQueen.
I'm going to play Steve McQueen off that record because that's a better song.
It is a better song.
And on Monday morning, I got called into Norm Weiner's office.
Though they have software, which tells them when songs are played.
What the hell?
I totally cheated and went off the grid and got called into the office.
So sometimes the overnight freedom is not as free as you think it is.
I will say so.
