And it was, it wasn't okay.
And it was like, my mom was so stressed out.
She was a single mother working four jobs and I couldn't be a problem.
And then you were... You mean the orphanage moment.
Yeah, that was also in third grade, which is wild.
I don't remember the timeline of it.
It feels like the orphanage was after this.
So when my mother one day packed up my brother and me, she sort of packed these suitcases and took us to our father's house, who we'd never met, and dropped us off.
And there was a woman there who we had never seen before, and...
She was there, and then hours later, he comes, and there's dinner, and there's these two other kids there.
We spend the night, and the next day, we're taken to a police station by that woman, and then later to an orphanage, and we were in an orphanage for about a month.
Yeah.
We can now.
It's really wild.
It was, I just, I guess it was a year or so ago, I had just written this part of the book, the first draft of it anyway, and my brother strangely calls me and he's in tears
I don't want to cry.
It may happen.
He was in tears, and he was apologizing to me about the incident that he caused that led to us being in the orphanage.
And he was just so apologetic.
