And the other thing Brene Brown says is that we dehumanize with mainly words and images.

And so I think with trans, with rehumanizing trans people, we need to get really clear about the words and images that dehumanize us and debunk those, call them out and then elevate

the lived experiences and voices of actual trans people for that reclamation of our humanity.

And then hopefully the reclamation of our civil rights in this country.

But that also goes for like everybody, because when we dehumanize other people, we dehumanize ourselves.

And so it always,

for me, it's always an invitation to first look at myself.

It's so easy to sort of, like, talk, and I think we have to have a systemic critique, but, like, what is my part in it?

How am I contributing to this culture of dehumanization, to this culture of whatever, or being, throwing up as the solution, or as the anecdote to the things that are...

causing us strife in this moment.

listening to trans, actual trans people and not, and be skeptical of anytime you hear or see people who are not trans talking about trans people and talking about, I think a lot of people aren't aware, I did, I was doing an interview for, it was on People Magazine's Instagram and in that I was talking about how our rights were being taken away and this woman in the comments was like, name the rights, name them.

And I was like, and I had time that morning.

So I was like, well, trans people, a lot of these things are being challenged in the courts, so they change every day.

But trans people, since 2010, we've been able to have our gender marker reflect our gender identity on our passports.

Trump has revoked that.

Trans people in Kansas had their driver's licenses invalidated overnight with no notice.

And so, like, thousands of trans people in Kansas can't drive because their ID has to reflect the gender that they were assigned at birth.

Oh, my God.

Trans health care, half the country bans trans health care for kids.

Many of the states are actually trying to do it for adults.
