Because I think I loved being a journalist, but I was frustrated when it came to language and to the possibility to write exactly what I want to write.
When you are a journalist, they tell you that you have to write an article.
with this particular angle, and you can't use as much words as you want.
There's a certain length to the article, and I wanted more freedom.
And also, I love fiction.
I love fiction very much.
And what is beautiful about fiction is that you can write about things that you don't know, and you can write about things that you didn't see, that you didn't experience.
That's the beauty of imagination.
And that's exactly what you can't do when you're a journalist.
You're supposed to say the truth.
That's the goal of your job.
And I think that I wanted to write about a different kind of truth, the truth of emotion, the truth of our human condition.
