Well, a definition of a Christian would be someone who has done exactly what he said. In other words, someone who confesses that Jesus is Lord, Jesus is God, repents of their sin, turns from their sin, admits that, receives this free gift of forgiveness and eternal life that Jesus purchased for us on the cross when he died as our substitute to pay for all of our sins.

So Jesus is not talking about, he's talking about those who are hypocrites, who claim to be his followers, but who aren't really his followers. Those are the ones that are in trouble. The ones who profess certain things and claim to be holy and claim to be righteous and so, and Jesus says in the end, I never knew you. Sorry, be gone.
