This country is not what I know it to be.
We came here a long time ago.
And I feel like what I'm experiencing and seeing is heartbreaking, of course, in what's going on overseas.
But all of this money that's being spent is absolutely atrocious when people are dying.
My father was a veteran.
He's an American veteran.
He died last year on the 4th of July.
He served in this country.
Purple hearts, bronze stars, silver star, all of it.
But as a Black male veteran, you know, trying to save a Black man who served in this country and has seen the most unbelievable things, it is just crazy to me that veterans are in line looking for food because of a shutdown.
I've seen people in military gear trying to, you know, be in line for food.
Since when?
Why?
I used to have to fight for him.
I mean, I'm an American citizen and have been, but still, this is crazy.
And I just feel overwhelmed at times.
It makes me feel like, I just literally feel as though like I wanna leave.
But I'm going to say hand fight.
And then we started watching some of the shows that we'd missed while we were traveling.
We were actually traveling for over a day.
