And it's one of the reasons why we are trying to invest or trying to encourage a lot more people to invest in kids
Because if we can create like a safety net for them, then their capacity to take risk as they get older will just be so much bigger and it's not true that everyone has the family support or anything like that.
But there are other ways we can do that as a society and it would ultimately, like I'm just such a big believer in,
rising tides floating all boats but you know if we can get more young people feeling like they could take whatever that risk is because at the end of the day you have to take risk somewhere to get to these numbers right like you've got to give something up.
That flows quite nicely into it.
Something we're trying to actively do, which is get more companies to include their employees in the shareholding of the company.
Is there any difference you see in the way people manage money between those that are employed and those that have ownership in what they're doing?
Yeah, I certainly hope so.
Like, it's definitely not a golden goose, right?

Just like every person who starts a company or every company doesn't end up successful, nor will the shareholders of every company.
But as far as supporting education, getting buy-in to a vision as a company owner, whether you do that in any sort of incentive structure, but I think there's room in New Zealand for more of that.
My brother did that.
He bought into it.
He is a real estate agent.
He ended up buying the company.
He's now the sole owner of it, but did that over quite a few years.
Funnily enough, I won't name names because I haven't asked them, but they actually advertised in the paper.
He advertised for someone to come
and join who would like to buy the company over time.
