One of my favourite things to do is to share the things that spark my own curiosity because they often become the beginning of a new reflection.
I discovered Coral Woodbury's work through a beautifully created collection by Maggie Hills for Art UK, created to support the 2026 GCSE Art and Design Theme Women.
It's a wonderful example of how following one interesting idea often leads to another.
What happens when information challenges the way we see ourselves?
Can it help us take better risks and make better decisions?
In this season, we've seen how Emma challenged her opinion of what a body should be.
Louise's whole corporate identity was shifted on its access by a wish she took sat on the tube one day.
Nikki is in a place where she looks for and expects challenge.
And Tiff is using information to challenge herself.
Not just the way sheep, but others in the pre- and perinatal industry see women and her people.
Today, we're going to reflect on how we do or don't use information when it challenges our ego.
Now, obviously, I'm not suggesting you or I have huge, ugly egos, but psychologically speaking, we do let our inner thoughts take over a lot.
Welcome back to Psychologically Speaking with me, Leela Ainge.
Listening back to those conversations, I realized that they all left me thinking about this question of how do we make good decisions when we never really know what's going to happen?
And that is the reality of risk.
You know, we never have all of the information.
We've rarely got certainty.
And if you've ever had imposter experiences, you know that they can make every decision feel bigger or riskier than it probably is.
As a psychologist and researcher, I don't think that confidence comes from having all of the answers.
I do think it comes from asking better questions.
