Okay, a few years ago, I received an envelope in the mail, like a really fancy envelope with the gold edges and the whole thing.

Sounds like a wedding invitation or something.

Inside, there was an invitation, but it was to enjoy a weekend in this penthouse suite downtown.

What?

Whoa.

No, I didn't.

I figured it had to be some kind of a scam because I never signed up for a contest.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, well, it was actually signed by Concierge app, which I looked it up, and it was legit.

Yeah, and so I was like, okay, well, let's maybe give this a try.

Maybe they're trying to get me to buy their services.

I don't know, but the hotel wasn't too far from me.

It was like 20 minutes away, so I just thought I'd go down there and check it out.

I mean, when I show up, they actually have my name at the front desk, and they say there's a complimentary room for me, and then they take me up to this gorgeous suite with skyline views and a fully stocked minibar, completely free of charge.

Oh, no, it gets better.

Plus, they also gave me a personal butler service, and I have the room for two nights.

Well, no, because afterwards I started feeling guilty because I didn't do anything to deserve it.

So I ended up calling their customer service to tell them.
