And so that was probably my father not being able to say, Lenny, I'm angry about this.

Come, let's talk about it.

And just come and throw shit around the room and, you know, beat me until I was doing whatever or punch.

And so I realized that, okay, this is something that I'm going to stop because I became aware of what my father went through and was passed on to me.

And it allowed me to accept my feelings.

So I was going to now use my anger, but not in the sense of acting out, but just saying I'm angry.

Just recognize it where it is in the body.

My anger is here.

and say to myself, I'm angry, what do I want to do with it?

This was the biggest revelation in my life that I actually had a choice.

I had an option.

I didn't have to become the Hulk.

You know who the Hulk is.

I could give an example.

I'm sitting with my son.

I invited him for a dinner because it's his birthday, and I just wanted to be with him alone.

If you don't mind...

your wife your children i just want to be with you because i hadn't been alone with him we've been together in family meetings i just wanted to talk to him one-on-one and as we were sitting having dinner he got a phone call and he picks it up and he makes an apologetic gesture and he turns around and i see his back and this is right in the middle

And I just paid attention to what was going through my mind and what was going through my emotions at that time.

And the first thing that came up is I'm being abandoned.
