And we're both looking at it and going.

So there was a little bit of humor there, but it was humor used not in a toxic way, but in a positive way.

So I became aware and I began to go to more workshops and more workshops until finally I came to one workshop and the workshop leader said, this was a new style.

Two things happened.

I got to tell you about this.

The first one was...

In 1980s, I studied with Laura Pearls, and she was the wife of Fritz Pearls, who was the father of Gestalt.

And they were psychoanalysts, but they got tired of this mind stuff, and they went directly to the emotions.

And it was in New Orleans, Louisiana, and we had a big group there.

She looks at me in the middle of the workshop.

She said, you know, you remind me of my husband.

And I'm going, oh, my God, the creator of Gestalt, the late, great Fritz Perls.

And then she looks at me and says, yeah, he too was a narcissist.

Wham.

So that got me into another therapy.

And so when I went to this workshop, finally being aware of what she said, narcissism, I'm a narcissist.

I'm just being a nice guy.

Why did she say that?

I came into the workshop, I sat down, and the workshop leader said, what do you want to work on today?
