The 14th Amendment says, if you're born here, you're legally here.
And it's as if he's just saying, it doesn't matter if your parents are undocumented, parents are this.
If you're born here, you're a citizen.
And he says that so explicitly to ward off any challenge that...
that there have been challenges, and they were warded off pretty quickly.
I mean, they wanted to get rid of Japanese-American citizenship.
They wanted to get rid of more Chinese citizenship.
There's been challenges to birthright citizenship for 100 years, and none of it's stuck because the Constitution is so clear, and the 14th Amendment is so clear, and the cases that have been brought, like Wong Kim Mark case in 1898, was so clear that this is what the Constitution says, that it's going to be very hard.
But then people say, well, you know,
The Supreme Court's in Trump's back pocket, and it looks like it is, but we'll see if even they are willing to let one person change the Constitution of the United States, which is something that is so hard to change, because it takes a lot of work to change and create.
That's why we haven't had that many amendments to the Constitution.
It's just very difficult to do.
And so we'll see if he's able to do this.
It's just it's almost unthinkable.
But, well, who knows what the Supreme Court will do?
Well, we used to think racial profiling was illegal.
