My name's James, I'm from Colorado, and my late father was a police officer here for twenty five years.
He ended up writing a book about it which includes chapters about the PI work that he did after boredom had him temporarily coming out of retirement for a few years.
The book was never published, and I only got a chance to read it after he'd passed away, and I received all this stuff in boxes.
But some of the stories from his cop days are wild.
Yet it's not one of those that I'm sending your way today.
It's from his days as a private investigator back in the late eighties when Dad was still in his fifties.
Because to me, it's not just the scariest story he put to paper, it's one of the weirdest and creepiest stories I've ever heard anywhere.
And so here it is.
