Not only that, I had a couple of
brothers and sisters that were my mom's original kids that were quite a bit older.
So when they had kids and they were the same age as we were, I was Uncle Dan to a kid that was a year older than me.
Eight total.
Eight total, six were adopted.
Yeah, eight total, six were adopted.
So it was interesting.
And I was the only kid at my high school that resembled anybody of color.
Just a lot of silver and bronze.
You get some special treatment?
Only later.
When I was growing up, it was really interesting.
When I was growing up, I was just another mouth to feed.
I was really on my own.
I went to practice, was interested in sports.
Everybody did something.
