As a journalist, you go there and you hope to see action and the big players come to the party.
But Bournemouth easily stifled them, really, I thought.
And their goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, didn't really have many saves to make, despite Chelsea having, I think it was about 20 shots on goal.
So...
Frank Lampard did seem a bit worried in the press conference afterwards.
He said his team looked like a team he didn't want to manage in terms of the style of play and the struggles they had building from the back.
They were passing from the centre-back to the full-back, back to the centre-back, and they rarely played through midfield at the pace required to break teams down in the Premier League.
But I think the key this weekend could be the return of Mateo Kovacic in the middle.
He's become such an important player for the club
As outlined by our colleague Adam Bate who's wrote a nice piece on our site,
The line that caught my eye was, Kovacic has the feet of a ballerina but the face of a boxer.
Which I think sums him up brilliantly because he's got a lot of ability and I think he's made the most completed passes of any player in the Premier League this season.
And Adam pointed out in his piece that a lot of those passes are played at pace and played in the right direction forward.
So he's the real trigger point for Chelsea to start their attacks.
And I think that Spurs could have problems against him this weekend if he comes back in.
Because their midfield two of Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko, for me, don't possess the right balance.
I don't think they move the ball quick enough.
The chemistry isn't there.
And Kovacic likes to get into those areas where Dier and Sissoko are supposed to be marshalling.
And I think that's where the game could be won this week.
