And I was very frustrated about that.
And then also I witnessed a lot of injustice.
Uh friends of my mother uh who would be repudiated by their husband, who would lost the custody of their children.
The situation was very violent.
I remember that my mother telling me, Okay, if you go in front of a judge and you need someone
for a testimony.
A woman uh would only value the half of a man.
If you need two people to testify, you need two men or four women.
So I was really outraged by that.
That's me, I was only half of a man.
No, I always spoke out and my parents were always very, very afraid that something would happen to me.
But you know it's something that I always found very mysterious and something I like to write about uh the mystery of of freedom.
