So there's an element of the modern phrase is game model, isn't it?

But the the game but the game model belongs to the club.

You know, we are asking them to coach and work within that and and we've done that for a number of years with them.

You know, Tom's been a product um of our coaching structure.

You know, Tom um actually joined us

as as uh youth team coach many years ago and and he has been on this journey with as well for a decade and and we've invested in tom o over time as well so

This isn't romantic.

We're not doing this because of that.

But we do feel like we know Tom and we don't get a head head coach's um wage.

Does it cost you more?

Yeah, they're they're their agents, uh we had we had fun with that one trying to trying to work that out with their agents, that was for sure.

I'm definitely uh not not Simon in that regard.

So there was tri there was a an independent process and then there was a point where we ended up bringing it back together and s and and testing and saying, okay, right, we've we've we've had this conversation independently.

Quite quite honestly, there was reticent from their point of view to who's the fifty-one percent shareholder as as well.

Um and that's when you know I'll be honest, Jez Jez George and I, the our sporting director.

We had a we had a night one evening um in in the summer just talking about whether we were we were crazy enough and dafty enough to to go against convention.

But we just we just felt that it's the right thing for the players and the right thing for Lincoln City.
