This is Representative Mark Pocan from Wisconsin. I'm here in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin right now. We just had a town hall that the Wisconsin Farmers Union put on. They invited all the elected officials from the area, both in federal and state office. Unfortunately, no Republicans showed up.

Derek Van Orden, Tom Tiffany are no-shows, as well as the state legislators who are Republicans in the area. But we're talking to farmers about studies, talking to people about what they're seeing. They're worried about cuts they're seeing. They're worried about what's going to happen to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for the neediest because it's all food that they're growing.

They're concerned about funds that have been stopped and loans that they are using to get their crops out. They're concerned about the immigration and staffing they're going to have on farms. They're concerned about a lot of things around Medicaid and cuts to education as well in the rural areas.

So we've had a great conversation, and I just hope that more people will hear about the Republican ripoff, which is this $4.5 trillion transfer of wealth from the middle class and those aspiring to be in the middle class, the programs we talked about today, to a tax cut for the wealthiest. Because at the end of the day, that's who gets the money. It's Elon Musk, it's Donald Trump, and others.

I'm just really glad we had a lot of farmers sharing their very real stories and a lot of emotion today. I hope more Republican members of Congress will be listing their constituents like the Democrats were here today.

Well, in the long run, I think having an unfair trade dynamic at the current point is suppressing growth. It's suppressing wages and suppressing job creation. So it has an adverse impact on our economy. There's no way, Major, to reset the trade dynamic that we've allowed to persist in an unfair way for so long without some disruption. The president's been very transparent about it.

And he deployed the same tactics now back in his first administration successfully.

To furthermore, I find it interesting that these actual allegations come out at peculiar timing. While he's being nominated to be the Attorney General, to be clear, I do think Matt Gaetz is going to be an incredible Attorney General. I think this baseless smear campaign, frankly, is abhorrent that it's happening to someone like Matt Gaetz, who's done so much to fight the government corruption.

Look, Matt Gaetz is a brilliant legal mind. Matt Gaetz, he will be the left-wing socialist's worst enemy. I think he will get confirmed. Matt can handle himself. He has nothing to hide. The DOJ dismissed all the charges. The political witch hunt, and Matt knows this, the political witch hunt on the ethics reports had been done by House members, and we know who pushed that against him.

He pushed back. DOJ dismissed it and so, but he has nothing to hide. Matt Gaetz is a tremendous pick. You can trust what he does and he's a risk taker, which is good and is what's needed in that position.

Well, first off, Donald Trump walked in with a with a crappy economy. The number of full time jobs have been dropping almost the entire Biden administration. This is a lot of work. The manufacturing jobs are coming back. That had not been happening under Biden. That's a big deal. The number one thing is we got to get American manufacturing back into this country.

So I'm very optimistic that we're going to get this done. Now, is it work to balance a budget? Yeah, it's work. All right. We're going to stop wasting money. So people are going to go build. We're going to start building the private sector again and stop growing the public sector.

Well, the disturbance is the 20% inflation under Biden, the fact there's no full-time jobs. So it's already changing. We're already adding full-time jobs. We've already added, I think, 10,000 manufacturing jobs just last month. I'm very optimistic it's going to happen very quickly.

Doge is very popular in my district. People are going, what is this? I mean, you listen to the State of the Union, and President Trump goes down the list, and you're hearing some of these things, money to Zamunda for research on squirrels, and you're like, no way this could be true. That's a lot of the talk in my district.

I don't want American daughters and sons going to fight wars just like I did.

Unfortunately, the Democrat Party has hijacked these in-person town halls and busing people in on it. whose sole purpose is to disrupt these meetings, and so you can't have a meaningful dialogue with your constituents. So my recommendation is use technology so you can have these meaningful dialogues so you can actually reach more constituents.

A lot of people are really busy with their families and their jobs and their lives. They don't have time to go to a town hall meeting.

I'm concerned about Democrat activists who are disrupting.
