I just loved the aspect of trying to find out who people were and then I loved my Olivetti typewriter and I loved writing it up and also I was one of the very few females working in that area which I only realised when I went to press conferences and all the guys were shouting out questions and I was very quiet.
I just never had experienced anything like that.
But I saw very quickly that there were no other women.
You know, the people in the rock bands were men, the managers were men, the people who carried the rock stars' equipment were men, and I wasn't.
I didn't ask any questions at the press conferences.
I talked to whoever was managing.
You know, those days were days of innocence.
People didn't have a public relations person accompanying them everywhere.
You didn't meet at some neutral place.
I mean, I've met... I interviewed Mick Jagger at his home.
I've been to Sonny and Cher's home.
I've went to the mama's and papa's homes.
I've been to all of the homes, not all of the homes, but I've been to most of the homes and also been unaccompanied.
Nobody's been editing the questions.
Nobody even wanted to know what I was going to talk about.
You know, there wasn't a new song someone was trying to promote.
And I think also that I was a little bit younger than most of the people, not much younger, but, you know, younger enough.
