She was out of the house a lot.

She was volunteering.

She didn't have a college degree.

She was volunteering so she could get work experience so she could leave my father.

My father was a really bad alcoholic, but I didn't know it until the divorce.

I was very much hidden by it.

We had to live in

Nanny and she had been my dad's nanny.

And so oh my goodness, you know in her mid 60s and she was really I mean, I think my mom had just kind of handed me over to her a little bit and and I loved her and She was Irish and we were very close.

What was her name?

Her name was Evelyn Evelyn Bradley

And I think she had, you know, she had been engaged when she was 18 and her stepfather wouldn't let her marry him.

And and so she had this very, I think, pretty lonely life, you know.

But she loved my dad.

She'd raised my dad since he was one and his dad died.

And his mother was an alcoholic.

So she was like really just taking care of the kind of abandoned children.

So much.

Yeah, I was put to bed early.

I was given a different dinner.
