I thought 10 by 30 feet, like not inches, feet, like this is not a woman painting from her elbows to her fingertips.

It is this very physical, full body painting.

massive, you know, process.

And I just thought, no, but I have to meet her.

So she was quite remarkable.

She sadly passed away in 2021, but was very much alive at the time that we worked together.

And I was able, she was painting these canvases in her 80s.

So I was able to go spend a couple days on her ranch.

I told her story in December.

She lives

seven hours on the other side of the state.

So for seven hours, I was crossing a pretty sleepy landscape, snowy landscape.

The colors were obviously very subdued and hibernating tundra.

And then I, seven hours later, arrive at her ranch and walk into her home, which is just full of

color and life and vibrancy and art.

And she loved to travel to primitive cultures.

And so she had all this beautiful, you know, beaded tapestries or wooden sculptures.

And I just came into her world and was like, where am I?

I mean, it was just really this...

pretty transformational experience and then got to spend a couple days on her ranch on just being completely immersed in her world.
