That person needs point A to point B, like, hold my hand, get me there.
And the whole point was not to make it feel overwhelming.

So you kind of wanted it to be as succinct and straightforward, at least in the middle of the book, as possible.
So I think remembering that there will be other books and remembering who your audience is are probably the two ways that you can best prevent scope creep.
I mean, absolutely, I would do it that way again.
It's kind of like when you get married and at the end, you're like, it's a shame I'm not doing this twice because it was sort of like an exponential learning curve.
And now I'm at the top of that and I'll never be able to use that information again with a bookie will.
So that's good, I think.

I mean, would I lean into a little bit more help along the way now that I understand all the steps?
Like, sure, maybe.
But, you know, the fact that I own every step of this process, right down to my, like, Parker ISBN, you know, it's like I own everything about it.
I don't owe anybody anything.
I don't owe – I'm not getting a – you know, it's –
I don't owe anybody any part of that process.
I own and now understand every step from the writing to the ISBN, to the copyright page, to the editing process, to short of having an incredibly wonderful designer who actually did the InDesign layout for me because I needed at a certain point to be like, okay, Lisa, you make it.
You can't like have your hands on every single aspect of this.
