Late word from the office of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of a deal that would limit a government shutdown.

Earlier, seven Republicans in the Senate sided with Democrats to kill a package of six bills that included funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham voted for the legislation, but said he does agree that reforms are needed for ICE.

Any deal would still need to go before the House, which won't be in session until next week.

Borders are Tom Holman now in Minneapolis as the Trump administration looks to bring down the temperature after the fatal shooting of Alex Freddie last Saturday.

Holman said an ICE drawdown could happen in Minneapolis, but only if state officials cooperate.

And he again called for local jails to alert ICE if they're holding inmates eligible to be deported.
