Arizona Senator Mark Kelly has filed a lawsuit against the Pentagon over the attempt to reduce his rank in military pension after he took part in a video telling members of the military to not take part in what they believe are illegal orders.

Senator Kelly is a retired Navy pilot who also flew four missions for NASA.

He ran for Senate after his wife, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, was shot in the head during an assassination attempt 15 years ago.

Secretary Hegseth censured Kelly last week over the video.
